Unraveled - Gena Showalter

Since coming to Crossroads, Oklahoma, former outcast Aden Stone has been living the good life. Never mind that one of his best friends is a werewolf, his girlfriend is a vampire princess who hungers for his blood, and he's supposed to be crowned Vampire King—while still a human! Well, kind of. With four—oops, three now—human souls living inside his head, Aden has always been "different" himself. These souls can time-travel, raise the dead, possess another's mind and, his least favorite these days, tell the future.
The forecast for Aden? A knife through the heart.
Because a war is brewing between the creatures of the dark, and Aden is somehow at the center of it all. But he isn't about to lie down and accept his destiny without a fight. Not when his new friends have his back, not when Victoria has risked her own future to be with him, and not when he has a reason to live for the first time in his life….

Oh, Gena Showalter.  How do you make me love your books so much?  This one didn't want to go back to the library.  It wanted to live with me and be my pet.

It was my friend, and I miss it, and I want it back.

I adore this series (also, isn't it pretty?  It matches my blog so well *pines*).  We get a little deeper look in the more minor characters in the series (Shannon, oh how I love Shannon.  Shannon needs a hug, like, all the time) but mostly Unraveled picks up right where Intertwined left off (read that one first!  That's an order!) and I loved being thrown back into Aden's world, even though it's a pretty rough place to be.

The relationships between the characters, both romantic and friendship alike are quite different than a lot of the YA out there right now.  There's no real love triangle, there's just love and devotion and a wonderful sense of family that has been created.  I love it.

And it doesn't hurt that the series is getting more exciting and mysterious as we go along.

If you enjoyed Intertwined, I highly recommend you pick up Unraveled.  It's a great addition to the series.

I can't wait to read book three.

Happy Reading!
