Weekend Wishlist (14)

Hey everyone!  Happy Saturday!
Do you have a list of books building up in your head (or on your bookshelf), that have been out for awhile, but you've never read, but you keep hoping you will?
Weekend Wishlist is a way for bloggers to share their to-be-read piles with each other, and to remind themselves that, though we all adore the new releases, there are many backlist titles that deserve our love too.

Anyway, here's mine!

Riley Blackthorne just needs a chance to prove herself – and that’s exactly what the demons are counting on…

Seventeen-year-old Riley, the only daughter of legendary Demon Trapper, Paul Blackthorne, has always dreamed of following in her father's footsteps.  The good news is, with human society seriously disrupted by economic upheaval and Lucifer increasing the number of demons in all major cities, Atlanta’s local Trappers’ Guild needs all the help they can get – even from a girl. When she’s not keeping up with her homework or trying to manage her growing crush on fellow apprentice, Simon, Riley’s out saving distressed citizens from foul-mouthed little devils – Grade One Hellspawn only, of course, per the strict rules of the Guild. Life’s about as normal as can be for the average demon-trapping teen.

But then a Grade Five Geo-Fiend crashes Riley’s routine assignment at a library, jeopardizing her life and her chosen livelihood.  And, as if that wasn’t bad enough, sudden tragedy strikes the Trappers’ Guild, spinning Riley down a more dangerous path than she ever could have imagined. As her whole world crashes down around her, who can Riley trust with her heart – and her life?

I've been wanting to read this one for awhile, but I haven't managed to get my hands on it yet.  Still a big fan of the supernatural.

Have you guys read this one?  Did you like it?

Let me know!

Oh, and if you'd like to take part, just post your link below.  Remember, the focus of this meme is on backlist (already published) titles, so as much as we look forward to upcoming books, this is only for ones that have been out for awhile that are sitting on our to-read piles, okie dokie?

  1. Oh this one is on my back list too. Add to that Born at Midnight, Delirium, Haven, Wither, Red Glove and Firelight. That's only what's on my bookshelf. Don't check my kindle app please because I have a lot on there waiting to be read. Two more weeks and schools out. I will catch-up then. :) (Math teacher here)

  2. Ooh - over here it was published as Forbidden and I loved it, am literally counting down for the next installment!

  3. I've been wanting to read this one for a while as well!

  4. I finally got my hands on a copy of The Demon Trapper's Daughter at the end of last month. There are a few books ahead of it in my "waiting to be read" pile, but every time I finish a book I am sorely tempted to bump it up the stack.

  5. This is totally sitting on my shelf, calling to me. Good choice!
