Cover-Judgers Anonymous (3)

Never judge a book by its cover.

If you've read my blog, you've probably heard me refer to myself as a shameless cover-judger.  I know, I'm seeking help.  But I don't think I'm the only one out there who does it.

So I invite you, readers, to share your opinion, and maybe we can find a cure for this problem together...or not.

Personally, the reason I was drawn to this book in the first place was the fact that I fell absolutely head-over-heels in love with the cover.
Which cover, you ask? Well, because I'm a twisted, twisted soul, it was the cover on the left. I saw that cover with the pram and the knives and the scissors and my messed up little heart went pitter-pat. I saw it, and instantly thought What is this? I must know what this book is! Gimmie *grabbyhands*.

But at the same time, I have a good friend who works in a major bookstore. We were chatting away about books, and she mentioned this one. She couldn't remember its title, but remembered how creepy the cover was and started explaining what was on it. I jumped up and cried "I know that one!", all pleased with myself.

I wanted to read it. She didn't.

So where do you stand? Do you prefer the creepy, chilling, disturbing cover on the left (as I do), or do you prefer the beautiful blue one on the right, which more resembles YA fiction as of late?

Inquiring minds want to know people! I want to pick your brains. :)

  1. The left! It's different. The other one is one I'd never pick up. Though, that probably would have been okay because I'm one of the few who didn't like this book at all. haha!

  2. I would have to go with the original cover. It is so creepy and different from everything else out there. I'm a little tired of the lone person standing on the cover.

  3. I definitely prefer the one on the left. I think that it's the better cover because it's memorable and so, so unique, whereas the one on the right is expected and very forgettable.

  4. The left one. It just makes me more curious about this book, because it looks so creepy.
