So.... does anyone remember earlier this week when I posted this picture on my twitter account?

Library catharsis complete...I think I may have gone a little too far...

Well, I'd had a stressful week, and library catharsis happened.  It just happens sometimes.  When I get stressed, my first instinct is to get out and go book shopping.  But since I'm on a very fixed budget, and I still need to eat, that's not really an option anymore.

So instead, the library clean-out thing happens.  And this was a doozie....as you can see...

Across the Top
Across Row One
Confessions of the Sullivan Sisters - Natalie Standiford
Rot & Ruin - Jonathan Maberry
Empty - Suzanne Weyn
Raised by Wolves - Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Across Row Two
The Gardener - S. A. Bodeen
Iron Daughter - Julie Kagawa
The Reformed Vampire Support Group - Catherine Jinks
Once a Witch - Carolyn MacCullough

These are all from my local library (ok, libraries.  I went a little mad and drove around to about 4 different libraries.  What?  I was having a bad day!).  I didn't receive any books for review this week, but I do intend to post reviews of all these once they're finished.

I'm really looking forward to having a solid week of Vampire Academy.  I've never read any of them.  What did you think about them...or about any of the titles I picked up this week?

Let me know!

Happy Reading!

  4. I have all the Vampire Academy books but have only read the first one and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I need to read the rest of the series though. When I have a bad day, I always want to go to a bookstore and buy something cause it definitely perks me right up. I totally understand the whole budget thing though. I've been trying to use the library more and more. Happy reading!

  6. A solid week of VA! Sounds awesome! Did you hear that they're finally going to start get the ball rolling on making a movie based off of the series? How cool is that!

  10. I'm currently reading the Iron Daughter in preparation for The Iron Queen, which I received this past week for review. The VA series is next on my list for Not-So-Bebe-Girl Autumn once she's done with the House of Night series. I REALLY want Rot and Ruin ... as soon as my book-buying and review requesting ban is over (one more month, one more month), THAT one is going on my shelves! Enjoy all of the new reads!

  12. Ha, glad to see I'm not the only one that hadn't started that series. I just finished them and was 1) impressed and 2) REALLY glad that I started reading them after all of the books were available. You can check out my reviews on my blog if you're really interested. I didn't really get into until the 2nd one, then things really picked up. Looking forward to your other reviews!
