Hi!
I'm geekgirl and I love books. I've always loved books.
They're my joy, my heart, and my obsession. I have a little bit of a problem, as I can't seem to stop acquiring them, and I can't let them go. They're my friends, my loves, and my children.
It was discussed at dinner with some girlfriends the other day, that, if I was forced to choose, I would choose my books over them.
I'm only a little ashamed that they might be right. But only a little.
That being said, I've been really into YA (young adult) books lately. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that when I was growing up, I was pretty much the only person I knew who liked to read...and that meant that there just wasn't a lot of choice out there when it came to reading material. If the kids weren't reading, the books just weren't being published.
But nowadays (as I reach my ripe old age of oh-god-almost-thirty!) things are different. YA fiction is good and plentiful out there now, and there's no way I'm missing out just because I'm a little over their target audience.
So read I can, and read I shall.
Come along for the ride.
You won't regret it.
